Literature Text

so lonely it is to be king
alone in a crowd
alone in a crown
lonlier it is to be me
in my dead court
my consuls are ghosts
my most trusted servants reapers
my black land carefully kept devoid of life
worse still this land should not be mine
nor should I have to bend knee for another king
who makes his merriement in the sky
illuck can strike even the gods
and thus it struck me that fateful day
taken was my birthright
the right to be lord of all
am i condemed to this gloom?
enough of this!
I shall send Thanatos for the horses
Cer for the chariot
and I shall find myself some happiness
oh, beautiful Persephone...

Look at the day!  Apollo and Helios working to send light and beauty down to the green.  Friends come let us laugh, let us play.

brother, would you give me your permission?
those words burned me to ask
imposter to my crown
woven by the fates into a pattern that shouldn't be his!
yet I have all I need
with her fathers permission
not even her mother can stop me

This is true beauty!  Life itself!  See the trees, the softness of the grass and moss.  Friends let us dance again!  Sometimes this is all I want or need, sometimes I have wanted more.  I chase not after power, but I have often thought of it.  But then I feel the softness of the moss and grass beneath my feet as I dance.  What is this?  What is going on?  Father, Mother, help me!

so it is done
she struggles against me as I carry her deep under the Earth
back to my domain
my black horses moving fast through the darkness
life shall be brought to death
my lonliness is at an end.
Part I of the myth of Hades and Persephone. It was really annoying to put this up. (I am really lazy!) Still two parts to go, enjoy.

This is fabulous. And this is one myth that I never tire of, I love all the differing perspectives.
